My career in financial services is driven by a genuine interest in how clean data can transform a struggling operation into a profitable one. I started in corporate accounting roles where I learned the rigours of Australian tax compliance and the importance of airtight systems. While the technical side of the work was fulfilling, I often felt the disconnect between high-level reporting and the day-to-day reality of the small business owners those reports were meant to serve.
That is why I transitioned into solo practice. I had seen too many businesses get lost in the shuffle of large agencies where their books were handed off to junior staff or outsourced to offshore teams who didn’t understand the nuances of the Australian Tax Office (ATO) or local Fair Work awards. I wanted to offer a different experience—one where the person you speak to on the phone is the same person actually performing the bank reconciliation and preparing your BAS.
Today, I operate Lyvia Bookkeeping as a boutique Bookkeeping Service in Melbourne Australia, run from my home base. I have deliberately kept my practice solo to ensure that my 50+ clients receive my undivided professional attention. I don’t just “do the books”; I help creative agencies, health clinics, and tradies understand their cash flow so they can make informed decisions about their future.
